NBB's understanding and response to the young at risk are not only
different; they are also making a difference.
Over the last 18 years, it has reached out to
more than 60000 young at risk and has
actually rehabilitated more than 30000 of them. In this
process, it has involved the young - both from
the young at risk themselves (peer group) and
from the more privileged communities and nations
(volunteers). NBB works with other like-minded
NGOs, and using this network (
www.missingchildsearch.net )
contributes significantly to tracing out missing
children and reducing child abuse and
trafficking, across all major cities of India.
NBB addresses a range of interventions, from rehabilitation to
preventive interventions, to creating more child
friendly and enabling environment. |
Over the past 18 years it has developed and fine-tuned
intervention models that are scalable and
sustainable. It has also demonstrated
replication/scaling by taking the work to
several municipalities and corporations of AP.
To make every citizen, and more particularly the
young, informed and responsible partners in this
task, NBB has developed a vibrant network of
public-private partnership at regional, national
and even international levels, involving the
state and its agencies, industry, business and
service sectors, the larger civil society and
the young.
