Field Work

The children rescued or motivated to join schooling or offered opportunities to enhance their working skills [usually children above 15 years only] as a result of daily Field work of BVK staff, are brought to the center and day‐bridge course and vocational training programs are imparted.

Vocational Courses offered for those interested include tailoring, two wheeler mechanism, DC / AC electrical mechanism, carpentry, weaving, embroidery, dress making, painting and art, dance, music and beautician courses

Currently Vocational Training is imparted under Naveena (for Girls), BVK and Vruthi Bhavan (For Boys)

Naveena: It is the residential vocational training centre for adolescent girls from the neighbourhood. They are given training in maggam, tailoring, machine embroidery and beautician courses. The duration of the courses is between 6 months to nine months. At present there are 43 girls getting trained in these courses

  Vruthi Bhavan:  It is a home for the Boy children undergoing vocational training. These boys are given chances to develop their vocational skills like tailoring, two-wheeler mechanism. The future tailors and the two wheeler mechanics grow here.

More than 1000 children were directly trained in various trades and they were given the necessary Job placement and follow up, career guidance and related skill up-gradation
